Sam Evans,
Director of Research & Development

As Director of Product Development, Sam Evans leads the technical design, prototyping, and process development for new Thrombolex products. His career has been with class III medical device companies for over 10 years - focused in novel, cardiovascular products including: an LVAD device in animal testing, product development and preclinical testing to first-in-man with a Transcatheter Aortic Valve, and the development of multiple generations of TAVR delivery systems. 

Prior to joining Thrombolex, as Director of Product Development for Thubrikar Aortic Valve, Inc., Sam was responsible for all preclinical activities for the Transcatheter Aortic Valve and catheter delivery system, from conception to use in their first-in-human study.

Sam received his BS in Biology from the University of Utah and M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology while studying peripheral stent interactions in the femoropopliteal region.

 

He has a patent pending for the Optimum Transcatheter Aortic Valve Delivery System.
